Blizzard seems to have little planned for its 2026 roadmap. While rumors abound online about the leaked WoW Midnight (March 2, 2026) and TBC Anniversary Pre-Patch (January 13, 2026), and the expected release of WoW MoP Phase 4 in 2026 spring, would Blizzard offer any more surprises beyond that?

Honestly, I'm surprised that Blizzard seems to be narrowing its options. Current WoW Classic Hardcore/SoD/ERA are all largely neglected, and Mists of Pandaria Classic released on July 21, 2025, only provided a brief moment of enjoyment for players at launch. It was just a small peak, after which people returned to WoW 20th and the 21st Anniversary celebrations. People would rather spend WoW classic gold on older expansions than on new content, which reflects the failure of MoP Classic.

Regarding the old topic of TBC Classic, I'm also surprised that Blizzard would return to this expansion again in the spring of 2026. However, considering what I mentioned earlier, if they don't bring back a certain raid or combine it with an anniversary event, what other new "WoW XX Classic" content can they release for us to play?

On Reddit, there's been a lot of discussion recently about the WoW 2026 roadmap. The most common belief is that Blizzard will release the 2026 roadmap after the release of Midnight. Perhaps they don't have a clear plan yet, and are waiting for a new expansion to launch before releasing various patches to maintain their user base.

Currently, I find all the leaked roadmaps unreliable, and there are no related images circulating on WoWhead. So let's wait and see. We hope Blizzard will give us a brand new experience in 2026.
