I have been obsessed with ARC Raiders lately, running Dam Battlegrounds over and over, chasing that rush you only get when a risky loot run actually pays off, and once I heard people talk about the Power Rod Loot Room needing an Epic rod plus how some folks just skip all that and buy ARC Raiders Coins, I knew I had to test things properly instead of just guessing from a couple of lucky raids.

Finding The Power Rod Room

If you have not seen this room yet, it sits in the basement of the Power Generation Complex, usually on the east side of the Dam, and you drop down from the upper level into this nasty little maze with sentry turrets and those annoying fireballs waiting to delete you if you get lazy for even a second. The main problem for me is the Rocketeer around the lift, because one bad peek and your whole kit is just gone. Once you slam that Epic Power Rod into the slot though, the vault opens into a tight room packed with lockers, tables, and sometimes a fuel crate, and because there is often an XL exfil close by, it turns into a quick grab-and-go spot rather than a long, drawn out clear.

Night Raids: Where The Money Is

I ran 20 Night Raids solo and tracked every coin, and the numbers were way better than I expected, with more than 771,000 coins in profit and an average of around 38,000 per run after paying for the rods. The loot inside that vault at night feels juiced: multiple Wolfpack grenades, Tier 2 weapon blueprints like Tempest and Renegade, plus stacks of high-value salvage that fill your bag fast, and on one run everything lined up and I walked out with over 90k profit from a single raid. The maps are darker, the enemies feel meaner, and you usually bump into more players, but the loot table in that room during Night Raids makes the extra risk feel worth it instead of just being punishment.

Cold Snap: Cool Atmosphere, Colder Payout

Cold Snap sounds great on paper, snow everywhere and buffed outdoor loot piles, so I did another 20 solo runs in the exact same room and only ended up with about 336,000 coins in total, which is less than half of what I made at night using the same Epic Power Rod setup. The big issue is that the winter event seems to focus its bonuses on open areas, while the indoor stuff in the Power Rod vault stays pretty average, so you are dealing with the hypothermia mechanic for almost no extra reward. Freezing while you sort your inventory is just annoying, and it pushes you into taking specific mobility or survival perks when you would rather build around damage or utility, which makes the whole thing feel like a tax instead of a fun twist.

When To Use Your Epic Power Rods

With Power Rods sitting at roughly 5,000 coins to craft, you really do not want to burn them in runs that barely break even, and based on these 40 tries the smart play is to save them for Night Raids where the vault actually showers you with gear and cash instead of just looking pretty under falling snow. Cold Snap still has its place if you are farming outdoor piles or just want a change of pace, but for this specific loot room the numbers do not lie and the night version wins by a mile. If you get on a bad streak and watch your stash shrinking faster than it grows, some players just top up their coins or grab blueprints from sites like u4gm so losing one rough kit does not shut down the rest of their week.
