If you’re fed up with the usual melee slugfests or just spamming spells from the backline, then you might wanna give this a go. In the Rise of the Abyssals league I’ve been messing with the Witch Infernalist minion setup, and it’s been wild. Picture an entire wave of exploding skeletons tearing through the screen while you’re barely pressing anything. It’s quick, loud, and way too much fun. Plus, it’s actually strong enough for endgame — bosses don’t stand a chance. You kick things off with the Infernalist ascendancy, stacking juicy perks like Necromantic Conduit (permanent Unholy Might for your crew — huge chaos damage spike) and Pain Offering for those big, bursty moments. Sure, it drains some mana but you can sort that with a couple of passive nodes, or gear tweaks from PoE 2 Items.

The heart of it is Skeletal Arsonists. These little maniacs toss firebombs with insane chain reaction potential, so clearing maps turns into one giant detonation. Feed them support gems like Feeding Frenzy and Minion Damage early and watch them put in the work. For bosses, you bring in a couple of big Spectres for extra punch — Vaal Guard Bombers are great for their massive AoE blast, while Frozen Mandibles cut through chaos resistance fast. Add in a Skeletal Brute to throw out intimidation, set up a Frost Mage for defensive buffs, and layer on Despair to make those chaos hits sting harder. Once your crew’s summoned and offerings are rolling, you don’t really micro-manage — they know what to do.

Gear-wise, there’s loads of freedom. You can start with a cheap +1 minion gem sceptre and some basic life/res rolls and already feel solid. As currency comes in, move to uniques like Bones of Ullr for extra Spirit (more minions) and Enfolding Dawn for perfect synergy with the Arsonists. In the later game, Darkness Enthroned with the right jewels is huge, and a pair of Ventor’s Gamble rings can really push your Spirit count higher. The big thing is to keep stacking minion skill levels, Spirit, and minion damage, while making sure your resistances are capped so you can stroll through maps without worrying about getting squashed.

When you’re running maps, you just flame dash through, spreading chaos in your wake. For bosses, it’s dead simple — curses down, Pain Offering up, then tell the minions to focus. Watching Uber bosses melt while you’re basically relaxing never gets old. The build’s ridiculously good at map clear, it slaps hard in boss fights, and it’s got that “jump in and have fun” vibe. If you’ve been looking for something different that doesn’t need constant button-mashing, this might be your go-to. You’ll feel unstoppable once the horde is up and running, especially when you’ve geared up with PoE 2 Items cheap.
