Have you always dreamed of visiting Thailand tour packages, but didn’t know where to start? Don’t worry—we’ve got you covered! In this blog, you’ll find a super easy guide to what a 10-day trip to Thailand looks like. This is perfect for new travelers or anyone who wants to enjoy Thailand’s beauty, culture, and fun without any stress.

I was new to traveling too. I used to only see beautiful pictures on Instagram. But all that changed when I found travejar. It’s a travel company that helps young people enjoy fun group trips across the world. I joined them on a trip to Greece, and later I decided to go on their amazing Thailand trip.

This blog tells the story of my fun adventure and gives you tips so you can enjoy your trip too!

Day 1: Bangkok Arrival and Market Fun

We landed in Bangkok, the capital of Thailand, and stayed at the same hotel as our travel group. The hotel was beautiful and had a lovely river view.

Before meeting the group, we walked around Wang Lang Market. It was full of food, clothes, smells, and colors. We even got our first Thai massage, which was cheap and super relaxing.

Later, we met our guide, “M”, who was very friendly. He bought us fruit and snacks from the market. The pineapple was the best I had in my life! We all got to know each other while trying different foods.

At night, we had a fun family-style dinner with the group. This kind of dinner became one of my favorite things during the trip.

Travel Tip: Tipping is not required in Thailand, but it's a nice thing to do if you get great service.

Day 2: Grand Palace, Temples, and a Boat Ride

The next day was full of sightseeing. We visited the Grand Palace and Wat Pho, which has a big golden Reclining Buddha. These temples were so old and beautiful.

But it was very hot—almost 38°C (100°F)! We drank lots of water to stay cool.

Travel Tip: When visiting temples, you must cover your shoulders and knees. Light, flowy pants or skirts are best. Don’t forget to wear socks without holes because you’ll need to take off your shoes.

Later, we went on a canal boat tour. We saw big lizards, fed fish, and felt a nice breeze.

At night, we had curry for dinner and visited the famous Khaosan Road, a fun street with music, food, and shops. Some people even tried bugs on sticks (not me!).

Day 3: Exploring Ayutthaya and Riding a Night Train

We left Bangkok and drove to Ayutthaya, the old capital of Thailand. It had many old temples, and we explored them by bicycle.

It was hot again, but the beauty of the temples made it all worth it. We had delicious boat noodles, the best I’ve ever had!

After relaxing, we went to a night market, where we each got 250 Baht to buy food. Then, we got on an overnight train to Chiang Mai.

Train Tip: Bring snacks and water from 7-Eleven before the train ride. It’s fun to eat and watch the jungle go by!

Day 4: Temples and Street Markets in Chiang Mai

In Chiang Mai, we had breakfast at a famous restaurant. I tried Khao Soi, a spicy coconut noodle soup. It was SO good—better than the noodles from Ayutthaya!

That day was the Chiang Mai Flower Festival, so the streets were full of flowers and decorations. We walked around, ate snacks, and shopped.

Later, we visited the famous Doi Suthep Temple and got blessed by a monk. At night, we explored the Sunday Night Market—my favorite of the whole trip. It was full of energy, colors, and happy people.

Day 5: Sticky Waterfalls and Thai Cooking

We visited Sticky Waterfalls, where you can actually climb up the rocks while water flows down! It was so fun and different from anything I’ve done.

After lunch, we had a Thai cooking class. We made our own dishes, and the teacher was amazing. I cooked three different meals!

At night, we went to another market and bought gifts and snacks. Another awesome day in Thailand!

Day 6: Elephant Sanctuary

This was the most exciting day for many of us. We went to an elephant sanctuary where we met three friendly elephants.

We wore special uniforms and learned how to feed, walk, and care for elephants. We spent hours with them, and it was one of the happiest days of my life.

That evening, some of us sang karaoke while others went to bed early.

Day 7: Krabi and Railay Beach

We took a flight to Krabi, a beautiful beach town in the south of Thailand. From there, we took a boat to Railay Beach, where we stayed for three nights.

We watched the sunset, walked around, and had dinner on our own. It felt like we were in a postcard!

Day 8: Island Hopping Adventure

We spent this day island hopping! We visited different islands by boat, swam, snorkeled, and took pictures.

We had lunch on the beach and relaxed under the sun.

Travel Tip: Be careful of jellyfish in the water. One of our friends got stung, but the hotel and guide helped quickly.

Day 9: Rock Climbing and Exploring Caves

Some of us went rock climbing on the cliffs near Railay Beach. It was exciting and safe. After that, we explored caves and even rappelled down!

Later, we relaxed and had our final group dinner, where we shared our best memories. Everyone felt happy and grateful for the trip.

Day 10: Saying Goodbye

On the last day, we saw a beautiful sunrise before saying goodbye. Our guide helped with all the transport, and we were ready to fly back home with hearts full of joy.

Top 5 Travel Tips for Thailand

  1. Money Tips: Use Thai ATMs instead of airport exchanges for better rates. Or get money from AAA before your trip—it’s free!

  2. Restrooms: Always carry toilet paper or wipes. Sometimes you’ll need to pay 5–10 Baht to use the restroom.

  3. Bug Spray: Spray your clothes with permethrin before the trip. Mosquitoes are strong in Thailand!

  4. Stay Hydrated: It’s hot! Bring a refillable water bottle and hydration powder.

  5. Learn Some Thai Words: Try saying “hello” or “thank you” in Thai. Locals love it and smile back at you!

Final Thoughts

This 10-day Thailand trip was one of the best times of my life. I explored ancient temples, ate amazing food, swam in clear waters, met elephants, climbed waterfalls, and made new friends from around the world.

With travejar, I didn’t have to worry about anything. They planned the whole trip, including hotels, transport, and fun. It was easy, safe, and full of joy.

If you ever dream of traveling, start with Thailand. It has everything—beaches, jungles, temples, food, culture, and fun. You’ll come back with beautiful memories and stories to tell forever.
