The new payload mechanics on Marvel Rivals' Museum of Contemplation map are sparking significant player debate

Instead of a static objective, the convoy transforms at each checkpoint, introducing a novel but problematic twist

A giant Doctor Strange-themed rubber duck float serves as the final payload, creating an unexpected visual and gameplay hurdle

Due to its expanded size, contesting the point requires standing directly on top of the duck, not merely beside it

This unclear boundary has led to numerous ranked and casual matches being lost unexpectedly

Players report frustration as teams celebrate victories while opponents are physically pressed against, but not atop, the objective

Calls for developer NetEase to adjust the capture zone's forgiveness or clarify its boundaries are growing

Some argue the whimsical float should be removed entirely to prevent confusion, while others appreciate its unique charm

A potential solution involves dynamically expanding the capture zone during the duck's phase to match its larger model

This incident highlights the delicate balance between innovative map design and clear, consistent gameplay communication
