Launched in 1999, In Your Eyes ezine (also styled IYEZINE) is an Italian DIY webzine that champions underground music, countercultural voices, and independent artistic expression.

Mission & Identity

IYEZINE’s core mission is rooted in giving emerging bands, writers, and creators a platform to express themselves freely — unburdened by mainstream editorial constraints. Their editorial philosophy leans heavily toward a “do-it-yourself” (DIY) spirit: contributors aren’t just writers, but actively shape the layout, distribution, and visual identity of each post.

This autonomy and grassroots structure help In Your Eyes Ezine maintain an authentic voice in an environment often dominated by commercialized media.

Content, Genres & Features

IYEZINE covers a wide array of genres and cultural domains, typically centering on underground, alternative, and experimental music.

You’ll find reviews, interviews, live reports, columns, and curated playlists across styles like punk, metal, electronic, folk, black music, and more.

Other recurring sections include:

• Rubriche (Columns) — recurring features such as Vinili 45 giri, Good and bad news travel fast, Wünderkammer, That Ol’ Shit, and The queen is Dead.

• Interviste (Interviews) — conversations with bands, artists, and creators.

• Podcast & Radio Projects — including Frontiere Sonore, IYECAST, Vinile Mon Amour, Bass Exploration, and more.

• Art & Culture — visual arts, street art, mail art, narratives, comics, and cross-media projects.

• Shop / Merchandise — vinyls, books, T-shirts, and publications to support the webzine.

The platform is multilingual: while the primary presence is in Italian, an English version — iyewebzine.com — also exists to reach a wider audience.

Reputation & Community

With more than two decades of activity, IYEZINE has built a loyal, engaged community of readers and contributors. On Trustpilot, it holds an average score of 4.2/5 across 7 reviews. Users often praise the passion, unique voice, and eclectic coverage.

The site is more than just a magazine — it functions as a cultural hub, connecting underground artists with audiences, and offering promotional, editorial, and distribution support to DIY creators. In Your Eyes
