上個月回老家，翻到老爸床頭櫃裡擺著幾盒沒拆封的保健品，問他怎麼不吃，他支支吾吾說「怕吃錯」。後來才知道，他朋友推薦的，但他連什麼時候吃、吃多少都沒搞懂，乾脆放著。

我本來想直接上網查，結果越查越亂，有人說空腹吃，有人說配酒沒關係，看得我頭皮發麻。老爸還補一句：「啊不是都一樣？」我心想，這哪能一樣，吃錯時機效果差很多。

後來我打給台北一位當藥師的學長，他先問老爸有沒有在吃慢性病藥，再問平時血壓穩不穩，最後才講到劑量。他提醒我：這類東西要提前半小時左右吃，而且不能跟某些心血管藥並用，最好讓醫師評估過再開始。

那時我認真查了「威爾剛用法」這個問題，才發現說明書上寫的建議其實很清楚，只是老爸根本沒翻。我幫他把服用時間、劑量、注意事項抄在一張紙上，貼在藥盒旁邊，還設了手機提醒。

現在老爸會按時吃，也說感覺比以前有精神一點。至少他不再把那盒東西當裝飾品了。如果你家也有長輩搞不清楚，別讓他們瞎猜，陪他們把說明書讀一遍，比什麼都實際。
