In February 2021, the Netflix ISP Speed Index highlighted 15 regions and nations that excelled in delivering top-tier streaming experiences.

For the second consecutive month, countries such as Australia, Belgium, Denmark, Hong Kong, Israel, the Netherlands, Norway, Romania, Singapore, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, Thailand, the UK, and the US were recognized for their outstanding performance, each averaging a streaming speed of 3.6 megabits per second (Mbps).

Among the providers, three individual ISPs showcased significant improvements, each achieving a rise of 0.4 Mbps. A1 from Austria improved to 2.8 Mbps, marking its third straight month of growth. Hungary's Invitel rebounded to 3.0 Mbps after two months of decline, while Israel's 099.net also increased to 2.8 Mbps.

Austria's A1 likely contributed to a slight boost in the country’s average speed, which rose by 0.2 Mbps to reach 3.2 Mbps—marking Austria as the only country to see an increase in its average this month. This is the third consecutive month of improvement for Austria.

Notably, there were no significant declines in speeds for individual ISPs or country averages during this reporting period.

The Netflix ISP Speed Index specifically assesses the prime-time performance of ISPs for Netflix streaming rather than their overall performance across other services or data. Generally, enhanced Netflix streaming performance correlates with superior picture quality, quicker load times, and reduced buffering.
