BIS FMCS is a certification scheme launched by BIS for manufacturers located outside India. Under this scheme, BIS evaluates the foreign manufacturing unit, tests the products, and verifies quality control systems before granting certification.
Once approved, the foreign manufacturer is issued a BIS license and allowed to use the ISI Mark on certified products. This mark assures Indian consumers that the product complies with Indian Standards.
